Andrew is a local man. He was born in Forest Gate, E7 and lived most of his life in Custom House, E16. His professional background is in youth and community work in which he has 20 years of experience. His earliest experience of youth work was with the South Canning Town Detached Youth Project which was part funded by Community Links.

He has extensive experience as a trainer/consultant and spent 4 years as senior lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University teaching on the foundation degree of youth and community work aspects of BA (Hons) social policy and MA (social work). Andrew recognises the role of this steering committee as an essential mechanism of the work coordinated between Community Links and Catch 22. He believes that the Committee will add value by providing advice on budgets, project goals, monitoring, evaluating and project direction.
