We can assist you to apply for council housing and Homeswap, help you complain about anti-social behaviour or petition your landlord to carry out repairs. We take into account your needs, challenges and aspirations and work with you to reach a positive conclusion. We support people to overcome the challenges they face, make informed decisions and move towards a more stable and secure future. If you need assistance with filling out a form related to an online Housing Registration; Housing Benefit; Council Tax Reduction; please come along to our drop in Form Filling Session, held on Tuesday mornings, doors are open from 8.00am to 9:00am at 105 Barking Road.

We can offer appointments for people struggling with rent arrears. We can help to restructure or write off debt and negotiate affordable payment arrangements.

If you are a member of ARHAG or live in a property owned by Newham Council, we provide outreach advice support to help clients with rent arrears or with other debt to avoid eviction. Please contact your rent officer for an appointment.
I need to get my deposit back
We work with a corporate lawyers to offer a free drop-in evening law surgery twice per week. The team offer legal advice on areas of consumer, private housing and employment law. No appointments are necessary but as we rely on volunteers, sometimes you may not be seen and have to return on another day. The sessions run on:

Wednesdays at 4pm, 105 Barking Road, Canning Town, E16 4HQ
For either session registration starts at 4 o’clock. Please note that we work on a ‘first come, first served’ basis
