We were pleased to provide this service during the Covid-19 pandemic:

The COVID-19 helpline is a partnership between Community Links and the London Borough of Newham, formed in July 2020, under the umbrella body of One Newham.

As a borough that had recorded the second-highest death rate in the country (December 2020) and had the highest number of Londoners on furlough (May 2021), the COVID-19 Helpline project was initially purposed as a means to help residents isolate themselves effectively and get tested, in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Newham.

Currently, the helpline has evolved to support residents with the vaccination drive, as well as aspects that have been exacerbated by the pandemic. These include, but are not limited to testing, isolating, shielding, access to food and basics, finance, housing, benefits, government support schemes, and mental health support.

If you or a person you know needs support with any of the above, please give our Helpline Advisors a call on 020 7473 9711 or email at covidhelp@community-links.org
