Volunteering Opportunities
Young people aged 15-25 can get involved in the range of children and young people’s projects that we run throughout the year. It requires a special commitment and with it comes exceptional reward.
We offer a wide range of exciting volunteering opportunities throughout the Children and Youth Teams, supporting many projects, programmes, clubs and centres. These include our youth centres, S-Team, Education, Advice (Connexions) , Youth Inclusion, Special Needs, Pre and After school clubs, Care schemes and Public Events.
Our v programme, “Agents for Change”, offers Full time, Part time or Short term opportunities with access to free Children and Youth work training.

Volunteering opportunities with Auction My Stuff
Auction My Stuff is a social enterprise which sells donated “stuff” on eBay to raise money for charity. All the selling is done voluntarily by young people getting the skills, experience and confidence for work.
Working with us provides young people with an opportunity to learn customer service, creative writing, photography, warehouse and office admin skills. Our volunteers are aged between 18 and 24 years old.
If you’d like to volunteer and learn new skills, then you need to be between 18 and 25 years old and willing to donate at least 8 hours a week. If you think you’ve got something we could sell, then let us know.
Our contact details are Email: hello@auctionmystuff.org, Tel: 020 7476 5928.
We are situated in Tate and Lyle’s factory at the following address: Thames Refinery, Factory Road, Silvertown, London E16 2EW

Anyone with time on their hands as I did would do well to come here and gain some valuable experience in different kinds of areas. Not only have I enhanced my admin skills, I’ve learnt how to take photos using PS Remote, used the Turbolister application and done some warehouse work. It’s also improved me as a person as I’m a lot more confident than I used to be.

It’s good fun here…lot’s of work 2 do though but it’s for a good cause helping a charity.

So far I have been here just over 1 month and I have learned a lot of stuff which I never thought I could ever do in such a short time.
