Are you a young person looking to enter the world of work, or for the next job, and need support? Are you someone lacking some formal qualifications but eager to take further education? Or are you looking to return to working life but would like to do something different? We offer the following services to support you in your next step to finding the right job for you.
Welfare Benefits Advice and Community Development Work Training Courses
Our courses in Welfare Benefits Advice and Community Development Work have just received an excellent report from the National Open College Network, who accredits the courses. They are two day courses which start in September. They are open to anyone who would like to develop their skills and to receive a NOCN Level 3 Progression Certificate/Award with Welfare Benefits Advice and/or Community Development Work, and are free to anyone living in Newham who is on a low income or unemployed. For those unemployed who live outside Newham, the cost is ₤50.00 for the year. Excellent value!

We work in partnership with the University of East London. Free places are available to Newham residents.
Employment support for young people
We offer support and training opportunities for young people aged 16-24 to help them to find local jobs. Programmes develop skills and confidence, offer workshops and work placements with major businesses and provide counselling and job search activities. Our Social Enterprise, Auction My Stuff, offers work placements and volunteering opportunities for young people. We use eBay to sell donated items and raise money for Community Links. It's a chance to learn new skills, and get that all important experience for your CV. Auction My Stuff is based at Tate and Lyle in Silvertown and offers a friendly, interesting work environment. New Deal programme
Community Links New Deal programme has been hailed as the best of its kind in London and the South East. We now run this from two sites in east London and the City – Newham and Tower Hamlets. We work with 800 clients.
