Community Links Tea Parties a tea-riffic success!
Thank you to all participants of the Community Links Tea Parties this year! This year's tea party event on 12 May, was a huge success and resulted in over £1,100 raised to support Community Links’ vital work. Special mention goes to Tate & Lyle Sugars who organised company wide tea parties where over 100 cakes were either baked or bought across departments, and to Community Links’ hub Play Sow & Grow who organised a fun tea party for local children and parents.… Read more.
Justice for All day of action
We took part in the Justice for All Day of Action this Friday, campaigning against government's proposed cuts to legal aid. Local MP Stephen Timms joined the campaign stall on East Ham High Street, where he was presented with a petition of almost 1000 signatures calling for legal aid for social welfare law to be retained. Partnership with BNY Mellon wins award
We were delighted to see our partnership with BNY Mellon win the award for best long-term partnership between a company (finance and professional) and a charity at the annual Business Charity Awards earlier this week. The award is recognition of the strong partnership that we have built with BNY Mellon over the last five years, and highlights the huge positive impact that companies can have in their local communities. The drive to make a difference!
Newham charity Community Links and Canary Wharf company supporter Chevron are inviting people to take part in a driving competition that hopes to turn lives around. Twenty corporate teams from the City and Docklands will be battling for speed supremacy in a 2 hour endurance race in North Greenwich on 8 June.
