The drive to make a difference!
09 May 2011
Newham charity Community Links and Canary Wharf company supporter Chevron are inviting people to take part in a driving competition that hopes to turn lives around.
Twenty corporate teams from the City and Docklands will be battling for speed supremacy in a 2 hour endurance race in North Greenwich on 8 June.
This high octane event on Europe’s biggest indoor track takes place at the state of the art Raceway in North Greenwich, one tube stop from Canary Wharf. New drivers and returning champions enjoy a hot buffet, photos, drinks and t-shirts as they compete for coveted Speed and Sponsorship Trophies.
Chevron has supported Community Links charity work since 1995, ensuring that funds raised from the Karting Challenge contribute to work with Community Links children and young people in Newham, helping them to achieve their potential.
Laura Hyde, Events Manager at Community Links says ‘The Karting Challenge is an exciting challenge event ideal for anyone who fancies themselves as a karting aficionado, or who wants to make a real difference to the local community’.
