Community Links hosts first policy speech by the new Prime Minister

Prime Minister Gordon Brown today launched a new book and policy initiatives at an event hosted by east London charity Community Links.
The event, which took place at Central Hall Westminster, saw the new Prime Minister make his first formal public speech, at which he celebrated ‘everyday heroes making a difference’ and pledged more support for and recognition of individuals and voluntary organisations who make powerful and positive contributions to our society.
Also announced at the event was a new ‘Council for Social Action’, to be led by Community Links Senior Advisor, David Robinson.
