Canary Wharf companies raise £24,000 to tackle east London poverty

Thames Water’s Beckton Rockets scooped the top fundraising spot closely followed by Morgan Stanley’s MSIT team, and Mission 4500, also from Thames Water. In the driving race the MSIT came top of the podium, with Wacky Racers (Bridges Ventures) and the Beckton Rockets nipping at their tyres.
The event has become is in its 16th year, and is an annual event for London business teams who raise sponsorship to compete in a 2 hour endurance race. Since its beginning, Community Links and event sponsor Chevron have raised funds for the charity’s work in an area where 1 in 4 children live in poverty. Community Links changes the lives of children and adults in East London, helping them to achieve their potential and build their own ladders out of poverty.
