Announcing our new Chief Executive
11 May 2016
We’re pleased to announce that Arvinda Gohil has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Community Links and will start here in July 2016.
Arvinda has worked in the not for profit, social enterprise and charitable sector all of her working life. She brings a wealth of experience in community driven housing and related services and a passion for providing real and sustainable solutions in empowering people to change their lives.
Arvinda says: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Community Links, an organisation rooted in the local community with a national voice. I intend to build on this considerable reputation ensuring that we continue to provide support, advice and guidance to individuals, families and communities locally, whilst acting as advocates on the national stage”.
Michael Smyth, Chair of Community Links, says; “Arvinda’s background in housing and experience across the social justice field is a perfect fit with our new strategic focus: acting early to tackle poverty. We’re delighted that she’s joining us and we’re looking forward very much to her putting our new strategy into action, developing new ideas to tackle poverty in east London and sharing the learning widely.”
