local services what we offer
Open Access Play Schemes
We provide supervised, safe and fun play for local children outside of school hours, throughout the year.
If you are interested in working in partnership with our Children’s Team, contact Cath Dillon, Head of Children’s Work, 020 7473 6807.
When do the schemes run?
Times vary but on the whole from 4pm to 6pm (term time) and 10am to 4pm (holidays).
How old does my child have to be to attend?
The age range is from reception class to 11 years. However, some schemes (such as Arc in the Park) take children from 5 to 14.
How much does it cost?
There is no charge for children who would like to join. However, there will be a charge for trips and outings.
How do they work?
Children need to be registered by their parent or carer. Once they are registered, children are free to come and go as they please, although staff will encourage them to stay for the whole session. We will provide a range of fun play activities(availability of outdoor play depends on the weather) and in the holidays offer trips and outings.
What else do I need to know?
Parents/carers will need to give their child a snack/packed lunch or money to buy their own refreshments.
