local services what we offer

Links to Enterprise

Links to Enterprise  supports people – particularly young people aged 14 to 35 – to become enterprising providing opportunities for local people to develop practical skills and confidence to enhance employability, and provide support and guidance to those wishing to set up a business or new enterprise.

Links to Enterprise

Basing our support around an individual, not a business idea, we encourage all participants to gain vital enterprise and practical life skills, assisting them to become more independent and skilled.

Participants are able to explore, practice, develop and advance their enterprise awareness and skills, thereby improving employability and enabling those who wish to move into self employment to do so.

The programme has three interlinked strands:

  • Developing Awareness and Skills through a series of workshops and support sessions
  • Practice Trading resources, opportunities and encouragement for "test trading" in a supported environment
  • Youth Programme to provide "readiness" for new enterpises through introductions and practice trading at a market stall.
