Just Walk

SATURDAY 14TH MAY 2011 Join us to walk the South Downs. With a 10km, 20km, 40km and our ultimate 60km challenge, there really is something for everyone.
Just Walk

Only 30 miles from London, the South Downs are a rolling-hilled, wildlife-rich, walker’s paradise. From our start location at Goodwood Racecourse on the edge of the Downs the challenging route will take participants through spectacular woodlands and picturesque villages, with fantastic views of the coast. Finishing back at the start, walkers will receive a hero’s welcome for their efforts in raising valuable funds for Community Links.

The Walk
  • The BIG 60km Route - If you are looking for a real challenge to raise money for Community Links then this is the route for you. The route takes through some of the most stunning countryside in Britain along with picturesque villages and towns such as Arundel. It is tough, but the biggest sense of achievement when you cross the finish line.
  • 40km Route - If you feel the BIG challenge above is just a little too far then this route would suit you perfectly.  It captures the first half of the 60km route and then drops back down to the finish. This route is still a huge rewarding challenge to complete.
  • 20km Route - The gentle 20km is suitable for all ages and great for walking with in a group of family or friends. This route takes you through some of the picturesque villages of West Sussex as well as some of the beautiful South Downs.
  • 10km Route - Get a taste of the Just Walk Event and take part in this great family day out.

On registration you are required to pay a fee of £15 per walker for the 10km walk, £45 per walker for the 20km walk, £55 per walker for the 40km walk and £65 for the 60km walk. When you register please put Community Links down as your chosen charity. You’ll be sent an event guide and kit list from Just walk and if you let emma.taylor@community-links.org  know you’ve signed up and we’ll send you your fundraising pack.
